“Choose the right courses and the right qualifications for you”
Current information relates to 2010/2011.
KS4 core subjects take up 64% of the curriculum. Students are asked to choose a further 3 option subjects, one from each of three blocks. An alternative curriculum is offered to a few students in cases where it is deemed appropriate. Guidance and help is given to parents and students via an Options Evening held in March, a Year 9 Careers Day and Citizenship lessons.
Don't forget that your choices all lead into further post-16 pathways and that this is not the end of any route to whatever destination.
Ensure you take time to discuss your choices with your parent or carer and your Head of House. It is important for you and us to know that they support the decisions that you are making regarding your education over the next two years and beyond.
